Social Media Marketing: Facebook

As you know if you subscribe to the Rivershore Books newsletter (click here if you’d like the monthly emails), I’ve been focusing on social media this month. Thanks to books like Kathryn Elizabeth Jones’ Marketing Your Book on a Budget, I’ve learned how to actually use these sites.

Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting the tips I've found.

Today’s focus is Facebook.

On here, a post every few days is best. More, and the audience becomes overwhelmed; less, and they forget you exist. (Okay, maybe not to that extreme, but you get my point.)

I usually use the scheduling option within Facebook, so when I’m too busy to post, I don’t have to worry.

This works with any type of post.

Twitterfeed (more than just Twitter) helps as well; I link my blog posts to my Facebook pages. (High five if you found this one via Facebook!)

Still, I log into Facebook daily and use the mobile app to respond to any comments or messages. Social media is…well…social and interactive. Scheduling posts and walking away just isn’t enough.

I run both an author page and a business one:
Want to give me something to celebrate? Like and share them both. I appreciate it!
